Aims to provide an alternative to higher education through its apprentice placement portal, which connects non-graduates with apprenticeship opportunities at UK businesses. The company works with over 300 employers, including Zoopla, Warner Bros, and Facebook. There are more than 850 WhiteHat apprentices on its 12-18 month programme and it aims to increase this to 1,000 by the end of 2019. Founded in 2016 by chief executive Euan Blair, 35, son of former UK prime minister Tony Blair, and president Sophie Adelman, 35, the company secured $16m in Series A funding in July 2019. Investors included Index Ventures and Salesforce Ventures, and the round brought total funds raised to $20m. Revenues reached £2m this year and are forecast to hit £5m in 2020.
