This company makes gluten-free snack bars, all of which are made by hand in north Wales. It is best-known for its 9BAR mixed-seed energy bars, which are promoted by sports stars such as British Olympic cycling gold medallist Ed Clancy. Its other brands include Wholebake flapjacks. Under chief executive officer, Mark Gould, 50, and operations director, Richard Shaw, 64, the company has increased turnover to £16.2m by targeting the burgeoning gluten-free market. Last year private equity firm Bridges Ventures bought out Finance Wales to gain a controlling stake in the company.
