Widget sells electronics such as satellite navigation systems, pocket computers and accessories for iPods and MP3 players to high-street shops, including Currys and Comet and e-tailers such as Amazon. The firm was founded by technology journalist Mark Needham, who predicts that digital photo frames and ultra-portable computers will be its next great sellers. Sales at the Stevenage company have soared 100% a year from £3m in 2003 to £23.9m in 2006, when it sold 100,000 TomTom satellite navigation systems.
