This Scottish distiller, founded in 1886, makes some of the world’s best-known whiskies, as well as spirits such as Hendrick’s gin and Sailor Jerry spiced rum. Its Glenfiddich whisky is the world’s best-selling single malt and the firm is investing £30m to expand production at its Speyside distillery, having spent £13m doubling production at the Hendrick’s distillery in Ayrshire last year. The company is run by chief executive Simon Hunt, 47.
