Willmott Dixon Group

Willmott Dixon builds most things, from primary schools to city academies, leisure centres, supermarkets, offices and residential projects, counting Morrisons and Whitbread among its customers. Set up in 1852, the Hertfordshire company is predominantly owned by the founding Willmott family, the Dixon family and key members of the senior management team, including group chairman Colin Enticknap. Sales held at £413m in 2005 despite the demerger and stock-market flotation of Inspace, the group’s support-services division, which previously accounted for a quarter of sales.
