Stuart Grieveson, managing director of Worcester Carsales, has cars in his blood. His father Derrick founded the company in 1953, and Stuart began valeting cars for him at 11 and says he sold his first vehicle when he was 13. The firm now has five dealerships – in Worcester, Shropshire and the West Midlands. Two of its garages sell only Vauxhalls, while the others sell a combination of Vauxhall, Daewoo, Suzuki, and Chrysler Jeep. In January 2003 the company acquired two small dealerships and is planning to make further acquisitions in the coming year. Sales have grown 77% a year from £7.3m in 2000 to £40.5m in 2003.
