More than 250,000 home and garden products are available at the 80 specialist websites built by WorldStores, which says that 80% of items are available for next-day delivery. The company has also developed technology to process orders and link direct to suppliers’ stock management systems. Based in Twickenham, southwest London, and founded by Richard Tucker and Joe Murray, Worldstores raised £8.5m from Balderton Capital and Advent Venture Partners in July 2011. Expanding its product range has helped sales grow 65% a year from £7.7m in 2009 to £35m in 2012.
