WSH was founded in 2000 by chairman Alastair Storey, 66, and has grown to become the largest independent contract caterer in the UK. It owns nine brands including Benugo, which runs cafes at attractions such as Edinburgh Castle and London’s Natural History Museum, and BaxterStorey, its largest division. US private equity firm Clayton, Dubilier & Rice bought a significant but undisclosed stake in the Reading-based company in January, in a deal valuing the business at a reported £780m.
