While Benugo, the café chain with sites at attractions from Edinburgh Castle to London’s Natural History Museum, closed during lockdown, contract caterer BaxterStorey stayed open to support essential workers. It also helped provide more than 40,000 free meals a day to the NHS. Benugo and BaxterStorey are among the seven food and hospitality brands owned by Westbury Street Holdings, founded by chairman Alastair Storey, 67. American private equity firm Clayton, Dubilier & Rice acquired a majority stake in 2019 in a deal valuing the Reading-based group at £778m.
