Car buyers are matched with loan providers using this Macclesfield firm’s software, which was developed by a 45-strong R&D team and now facilitates more than £22m of loans each month. Formerly known as Car Loan 4u, the firm raised £8m from Scottish Equity Partners in early 2014, rebranded in May this year and in June became the first car finance company to be accredited by the Financial Conduct Authority. Sales hit £20.6m this year, with Zuto expanding into a new central Manchester office. The firm was set up in 2006 by James Wilkinson, 34, and Ryan Dignan, 30.
